Welcome to Black Cat Book Nook, a cozy corner of the publishing world conceptualized by Silas Summers in January 2022. We are still early in our journey, working hard to fully spread our wings by 2027, but our mission is already full of passion. As a gay man, Silas started this Press to create a dedicated home for Queer creators and the vibrant Queer characters they bring to life.

If you’re wondering about the name, Silas is a proud cat dad to three black cats (and counting!). He chose "Black Cat" because, much like these beautiful animals, the Queer community has often been unfairly ostracized. Black Cat Book Nook is our answer to that—a warm, safe space to publish, read, review, and chat with like-minded book lovers. We hope to become your absolute favourite stop for all things Queer fiction and non-fiction.

Warmly,
Silas Summers
